The Practice of Embodied Presence

The thread that unifies my work is embodied presence.

Embodied presence means bringing your attention fully to whatever you are doing, and noticing what you are experiencing in your body as you do it — sensation, breath and movement.

Whether through Deep Coaching, spiritual direction, voice, sound or music, I invite people into a more embodied way of being. The body is a doorway into deeper self-awareness, inner wisdom and a more authentic way of being.

I create spaces where people can listen deeply, notice what is happening within, and become more fully present — to themselves, to others, and to the sacred.

How I Work

My way of working has been shaped by both my professional experience and my personal journey. My background in education leadership and the performing arts, together with professional training in Deep Coaching, spiritual direction, Naked Voice, sound therapy, and InterPlay, has given me a broad range of perspectives and practices.

Some of the most important learning has come through life itself — through challenge and loss, and through the gradual process of learning to listen to what is happening within me and understand myself more deeply.

As a singer, my relationship with performance anxiety has been a powerful teacher and has led me towards embodied presence. This has meant learning to listen more deeply, to recognise old patterns, to meet difficult experiences with greater compassion, and to become more present to what is true in the moment. It is an ongoing practice.

This lived experience is an important part of how I accompany others. Whether I am working with an individual, facilitating a group, or performing music, I seek to create spaces where people can feel safe enough to notice and allow what is here, and become aware of what is emerging.

Each session is shaped by what you bring. At times we may work within a single modality; at others, different strands of my experience may naturally come together in response to what feels most supportive.

Above all, I seek to meet you where you are — with respect for your pace, your process, and whatever is unfolding.
