SPIRITUAL DIRECTION
What is spiritual direction?
Spiritual direction, or spiritual accompaniment, helps us become more attentive to God’s presence in our lives.
We all have times when we sense that something is shifting within us — a longing, a question, a restlessness or a sense that something is calling us.
Spiritual direction offers a space to explore what may be happening and where God might be present within it.
As a spiritual director formed in the Ignatian tradition, I speak of deepening our personal relationship with God and discerning the direction in which we are being called.
I recognise that people may use other language for the sacred reality they experience — Source, the Divine, Presence, Love, or something they cannot quite name. What matters is a willingness to explore and deepen this relationship.
An embodied way of noticing
My approach to spiritual direction is grounded in embodied presence. I believe our relationship with God is experienced not only through our thoughts and beliefs, but through our whole selves. Our bodies, breath, emotions and inner responses are all part of how we notice God's presence and sense what is happening within us. I bring this embodied awareness into our sessions.
Group Experiences
As well as individual spiritual direction, I also offer contemplative experiences for small groups, including Quiet Days and retreats, creating space for reflection, stillness and deeper listening.
For more information, or to explore whether spiritual direction might be right for you, please feel free to get in touch by phone or email.
